Appellation(s): Bordeaux AOC.
The renown of Château Sainte-Marie goes back several centuries, when the owner used to supply the Abbaye de la Sauve Majeure (one of the most ancient abbeys in France, located just 4 km from the château). The ecclesiastics had nothing but praise for the benefits of the wine.

Set right in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, this magnificent estate enjoys an excellent geographical position. The south-facing vineyard stretches over two very sunny hilltops which are among the highest points in the Gironde region. Old vines with low yields, including a one hundred-year-old parcel of Semillon, guarantee top-quality production. Since 1956, the Dupuch-Mondon family has been running this estate with fierce commitment, talent and a great attachment to the originality of the terroir.
